Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This is a starting template. Please read it and confirm it's accurate for how you run ColorRoll before you rely on it — and consider having it reviewed if you operate in the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CPRA), or other regulated regions.
This policy explains what information ColorRoll ("we", "us") collects when you use color-roll.com (the "Site"), and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Roll data. When you roll, our server records the roll (the dice faces, a roll ID, a session code, and the time). This is what makes rolls verifiable. It is not linked to your real-world identity.
- Local settings. Your preferences (number of dice, theme, sound, volume, counter) are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. We do not receive them.
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the Site.
We do not ask for your name, email, or account unless you contact us directly.
Advertising & cookies
- We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- For more on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's policy.
- VIP members who are signed in see no ads.
Children
ColorRoll is a general-audience dice tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
How we use information
To operate the dice roller and its verification feature, to keep the Site secure and prevent abuse, and to show advertising to non-VIP visitors.
Your choices
You can clear your browser's local storage to reset your saved settings, and use the ad opt-out links above. You can contact us to ask about data we hold.
Changes
